Begin with the same dated statement

Before you change a holding, compare Cashflow with the correct brokerage account and statement date. Verify the quantity, exchange, quote currency and any cash balances separately.

Which part differs?

Check a simple calculation

10 shares at $85 CAD plus $175 CAD cash is $1,025 CAD. If Cashflow shows $850, missing cash is a more likely cause than a share-price issue. For USD positions, compare values on equivalent dates before drawing conclusions.

Fix the source, not the total

Correct a missing cash balance, wrong ticker or stale quantity in the relevant account. Save a backup before large edits or repeated imports. Official brokerage records remain the authoritative source for trades and tax information.
